Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of German Studies
The Department of Germanic and Slavic Languages and Literatures at the University of Colorado Boulder invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in German Studies, to begin August 2015. The successful candidate will be expected to teach in the department’s interdisciplinary undergraduate and graduate programs, including a new PhD program in German, to conduct research in his or her areas of expertise, and to provide service to the department and the university. Candidates with any research specialty in German culture after 1750 will be considered, but expertise in one or more of the following areas is especially desirable: Romanticism; gender studies; queer theory; psychoanalysis. Candidates with a completed PhD in German or a related field are preferred, and native or near-native fluency in German is required.
